The solution

Palazzo Balbi - Venice [Italy]

Built at the end of the 1500s for Nicolò Balbi who was the Captain of Mestre, the structure has two independent noble floors. In the Nineteenth century it was the property of the antiquarian Michelangelo Guggenheim, to then pass to the "Società adriatica di elettricità" that carried out radical restoration destroying the staircase that led to the second noble floor. Since 1971 it has been the prestigious seat of the Venetian Region.
